Kojima And Del Toro's "Silent Hills" Sounds Completely Crazy
It didn't take long for gamers to figure out that the mysterious "P.T. trailer" shown off during Gamescom was really a trailer for the new Silent Hill.
What's especially intriguing about this game is that both Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima and "Pan's Labyrinth" film director Guillermo del Toro are involved in the project. Kojima outlined his plans for the game during a special livestream event (as cited by GameSpot), and they're encouraging.
He first said he wants to make new effort - that he calls "Silent Hills" - so it'll "make you pee your pants." But after collaborating with del Toro, he decided he wanted to make it even scarier. Forget peeing your pants; now you're going to "sh** your pants." And of course, that's much worse. However, Kojima added that there's a danger with making a game that is too freaky, because people tend to close their eyes. That can't happen when playing a game, obviously.
The fresh Silent Hill will use the vaunted FOX Engine, so it should look pretty amazing. If you're interested, there's a free demo on the PlayStation Store...just have that extra pair of pants handy.
