Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey Coming Only To PS4, PC

While it'll still debut on PC, it'll only come to one console.

And that console is the PlayStation 4. As developer Red Thread Games confirmed on Twitter, Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey is only headed to Sony's next-gen console after it releases on PC.

This is a continuation of Ragnar Tørnquist's cult-classic adventure series "The Longest Journey," and players will step into the capable of shoes of heroine Zoë Castillo. The heroine from the original title, April Ryan, will make an appearance as well. Players will explore the mystical Arcadia as well as the aptly named Stark, and it should be a very entertaining quest for those who appreciate true adventure titles.

We don't have a launch date just yet, but it's supposed to arrive in November for PC.

Sony must have paid for it because it isn't coming to XBOX.

hehe maybe maybe not. I think a game like Dreamfall fits into more of the indie side of games. Sony does make it a practice to go around and help expose the small guys through business agreements. We can look to Transistor as an example of this. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony offered to market and represent their game on PS4 as part of an exclusivity arrangement. The game is likely to be so small that Sony probably wouldn't stand to make much, if any, profit, or to even move more systems as part of the deal, but what it does do is that it helps foster talent to grow into something much stronger.
Lots of times indie games have incredible talent they just need a big guy to step down and help give them some visibility.

I think that No Man's World or Land or whatever it's called is another example of this.

We can also look at what happened to "That Game Company" with the sort of support they received from Sony.
Sure, Flow wasn't all that amazing, but that Journey game really made an impact.

EDIT: rest assured we probably wont be seeing a "Dreamfall" edition of the PS4 exclusively hitting store shelves in Holiday of 2015.
