Sega Unveils Yakuza Zero: The Place Of Oath For PS3, PS4

Looks while we'll get another Yakuza.

Unfortunately, we don't know much about the game just yet. We just know that Sega revealed it during a livestream event, it's called Yakuza Zero: The Place of Oath, and it's in development for the PS3 and PS4.

Gematsu added that 30 actresses will appear in the game, and these women were part of a recent "Sexy Actress Popularity Contest." Well, that sounds...distinctly Japanese, wouldn't you say? This is a fantastic franchise but it hasn't received enough love outside of Japan; fans in North America and Europe usually have to wait a long time before they receive a new installment.

Here's hoping Yakuza Zero will find its way stateside at some point, though.

I'll never buy another Sega game after they allowed the character from yakuza to be used as an add on in Japan but not in the Us or European version of the same game they can go to hell

I'm up for the sexy lady contest. I almost kept Yak 4 for the hostess club stuff but the bar was such a dump and the mission of just going around and asking men about it wasn't cool enough.

Japanese girls=worth everything.

A prequel to the whole series? Okay.
But come on, we're still waiting for Yakuza 5 and Ishin; what are the odds that this will head westward? I do kinda want Yakuza Studio to make another new IP like Binary Domain again though. That game may have had generic qualities, but I really enjoyed the story, the way that the grunt enemies had to be taken apart, and especially the boss battles. I want to see what else the studio, and especially Toshihiro Nagoshi, is capable of.

I loved Binary Domain for the story as well. Also on consoles it is one of the best controlling and playing TPS games I have played, super responsive, good controls etc.

I want to see a sequel or yeah a new IP.

@xenris... are you serous about Binary Domain? I gave that game a try (bought it when it came out, but never opened the package until recently), and thought the controls were pretty decent but not amazing. What annoyed me the most were the characters.
The Japanese have these stereotypes of people, and they love portraying it in their games. I overlooked the stereotypes and characters in Vanquish cuz the game was so damn good. But Binary Domain lost me early on... It's too bad, cuz I REALLY wanted to like it.
