Pre-Load inFamous: Second Son First Light DLC Today

If you want it, you may as well pre-load.

The first downloadable content for Sucker Punch's well-received PlayStation 4 exclusive, inFamous: Second Son, will be available tomorrow. But Last Light is already available to pre-load on the North American PSN.

If you've pre-ordered the game on the Store, you can download the full game (around 6GB in size) and that download will be immediately unlocked at midnight, which means you can start playing the instant the new day arrives. This DLC stars Abigail Walker, also known as Fetch, who was a main character in the Second Son story. And don't forget that you don't actually need Second Son to play this DLC, as it's a standalone piece of entertainment.

Still, if you have a save file from the game, you'll unlock some extra content, such as the ability to use Delsin Rowe and his powers in the Arena Challenges. Have fun!

Still bitter about the name "Fetch". Fetch has been my character name for female characters for like 2 decades. *sniff* it was my name. *sob* Fetch Kinsman!

Sorry man, I know how it feels to be robbed like that of names and even entire ideas.

So does the DLC have good and evil in it or is it just one path? Fetch was the best thing about that game so I'm interested.

This sounds like fun, no doubt about it. Problem is I still need to play through the core game in A$&H@#$ mode.

There was a tip that recommended just randomly kicking people on the street to help keep your Karma evil.
It helps to start the game off with right mind set. As soon as the games starts up I hear "okay F$%& moral values" in my head.

You don't really need to do anything special to get evil karma, just don't be afraid to kill things..... anything.

It is MUCH easier (and fun) to just wreck everything in the game and get evil karma, then it is to hold back and get good karma.

I wish I liked Fetch more to want to try this, but I think I'm going to pass on it.

I'm afraid to download any more content on my PS4. Time for a hybrid 1TB drive. Downloading TLoU was the mistake... Hard drive whore!

I have one hybrid drive and it's a good option. Just don't forget than you have to re download everything once the drive is changed. =(

Ehhh.

I went for a larger capacity HDD instead a SSHD or SSD, at the start of the generation.

I am more than happy to sacrifice the 5-10 seconds a hybrid would give me, for a much larger capacity at a much cheaper price.

Also, due to the way SSHD's function, it doesn't actually provide you with benefits the first time you load something. So when you play a game for the first time, every new level will still load as fast as a HDD would. It is not until the second load of anything where you would see decreased load times.

It's because the SSHD's use caching memory to help speed up load times of frequently used data. So once a level is loaded, it is cached on the SSD part of the drive.

Bah! I keep forgetting that the second Gen SSHD all pack 5400rpm drives instead of 7200. So much for that. SSHD cache always worried me. When I had to choose between this or SSD for the PC, I couldn't risk the quirky SSHD cache overload.

Back to the drawing board. Perhaps a 2tb 7200rpm hdd...
