Following DDoS Attacks, PSN Set For Maintenance Today

No, it's not another attack; it's just maintenance.

The PlayStation Network was supposed to undergo regular maintenance on Monday, but after the DDoS attacks over the weekend, that maintenance was postponed.

That's why you won't be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, or Account Management between the hours of 12:40 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. ET today. Provided you signed in at any point since August 23, you'll still be able to play games online and use various applications like Netflix, Hulu Plus, Redbox, etc. It does suck that you can't get to the Store but really, it's only for a matter of a few days.

And here's hoping more customers weren't scared away from the events over the weekend. It makes me not want to be connected ever but that's hardly a PlayStation-centric fear.

The online games that I play online nowadays are GTA Online and Dark Souls 2. Everything else I play offline.

I don't have any problem with this.

So sick and tired of these hackers making excuses of why they attacked Sony and MS saying they're greedy companies just as excuse to commit crimes... Most ppl think banks are greedy you dont see everyone trying to rob or attack them... Point is if you dont like Sony or MS, dont buy their products its as simple as that

Still something tells me they arent done

I wouldn't care if I wasn't addicted to that crack also known as Warframe, especially since Update 14. Made a good game a great one with that bad boy. So, unfortunately these recent spots of downtime have been irritating. Not with Sony, its just when there is an itch to play something, the only way to soothe it is playtime.

Blizzard was DDos'd,twitch was ddos'd and a few others were as well. These dudes seriously need to move away from a computer for a few minutes and remember that no ones going to remember them in a few months.

Better have this shit sorted before Destiny's release.

These hackers should be euthanized.
