Assassin's Creed Unity Pushed Back, But Only Two Weeks
Oh, calm down. A few more weeks won't hurt.
In fact, it'll undoubtedly help (at least a little). Ubisoft has announced a short delay for the hotly anticipated Assassin's Creed Unity, which was originally slated for October 28. It will now release on November 11 alongside Assassin's Creed Rogue (set for PS3 and Xbox 360).
Ubisoft senior communications manager Gary Steinman offered a brief explanation at the Ubisoft blog, saying the "final straight-line sprint to the finish suddenly feels like an obstacle course laden with curves, hurdles, and pitfalls." Don't forget that Unity is the first series entry designed specifically for next-gen consoles. Here's what senior producer Vincent Pontbriand had to say:
"This being a fully next-gen game, it requires a lot of work, a lot of production, and a lot of learning. It's always hard to be precise and to quantify exactly how much work is involved. So as we get close to the finish we often realize we're near the target but we're not quite there yet."
At least it's not delayed until 2015, right?
