Dust: An Elysian Trail Headed To PS4

If you're looking for a surreal side-scrolling adventure game with an awesome name...

Here you go: It's Dust: An Elysian Tail and as announced over at the PlayStation Blog, this anthropomorphic title will soon land on the PlayStation 4.

The game's wacky character, Fidget, describes the game as follows:

"Imagine a 2D side-scrolling platformer, with crazy-fast swordplay and screen-clearing MAGIC supplied by yours truly. There are power-ups! Special abilities! Hidden passages! A whole world of STUFF to find!"

Then, you just combine that with the hand-drawn greatness from yesteryear and "crazy high resolutions." Yeah, 1080p and 60 frames per second. This Metroid-style quest is definitely a breath of fresh air in a world where giant sandbox experiences currently hold sway. If you've forgotten, the original Dust first released on Xbox 360 back in 2012, and then it came to PC, Mac and Linux. About time it landed in the PlayStation realm!

No release date just yet but stay tuned.

Played and beat on Steam during Christmas last year. Pretty fun.

I think it was also published by MS so it's odd seeing it coming to ps.

Its a very fun game. I recommend playing it on hard mode otherwise it doesn't feel like the mechanics for the game mesh perfectly.

I have this on steam but am super excited the Sony owners get to play this now.
