Activision's Destiny Deal For Those Who Haven't Upgraded

Don't have a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One yet? Maybe this will sway you.

Activision has announced a very enticing plan for those who have yet to jump aboard the next-gen bandwagon: If you purchase a digital copy of the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of Destiny, you will receive a free digital copy of the PS4 or Xbox One version. This deal is only good through January 15, 2015, though.

Also, don't forget that the last-gen version you purchase will dictate which next-gen version you upgrade to; in other words, if you download Destiny for the PS3, you'll get the PS4 version for free. You can't switch platforms. The good news is that either way, upgrading to the better version won't force you to start all over, as your progress will transfer. Lastly, if you purchase the Limited Edition or Ghost Edition (both come with the Season Pass), you can download the DLC content for free on PS4 or Xbox one after upgrading.

Bet you want a new console now, huh?

I seriously feel not only should previous gen iterations should be cheaper, but they should also throw a digital discount for the people who already have it. Like Minecraft being 5$ instead of 20. VERY nice discount there.

What about playing the game at the same time on different users? Like one person playing on ps3 and the other playing it on ps4?
