NBA Live 15 Delayed Three Weeks
Well, considering last year's debacle, they probably should take all the extra time they need.
EA Sports has announced a short delay for NBA Live 15. It was originally scheduled to launch on October 7; now it'll be on store shelves on October 28.
It's not a bad move, as competitor NBA 2K15 is set for October 7 and the latter franchise has fared far better in recent years. As for the official reason for the delay, EA says it simply requires more polish:
"Considering all the work that's gone in so far, we will be taking a few extra weeks to polish the game and make sure you get an incredible NBA experience from the moment you first boot up the title. This extra development time means we will be moving our launch date to October 28 to line up to opening night of the 2014-15 NBA season. This was a hard decision, but itís the right one, as we are totally committed to delivering the highest-quality game we possibly can."
NBA Live 14 didn't do well with critics, and it was all the more disappointing because a pair of Live titles had been canceled prior to last year's release. It seems EA is having trouble producing a decent installment, and they definitely don't want to drop the ball again (no pun intended).
