Inquisition's Tactical View Like A "Pressure Release Valve"
If you're wondering about the difficulty in Dragon Age: Inquisition, we've got two words for you: Tactical View.
BioWare producer Cameron Lee confirmed to PlayStation LifeStyle that the new adventure would be the toughest one yet; tougher than Origins and "definitely tougher" than Dragon Age II.
However, that's part of the reason why they're bringing back the Tactical View from the original title. Lee says that while it isn't required, it can really help you step back and take stock of a hectic situation.
"It really depends on individual players, I know. This is quite a complex answer, but when you look atů. Say you were playing on normal difficulty, and all difficulty in Inquisition means tougher than Origins, definitely tougher than Dragon Age II. So, each different player has different thresholds of how much pressure they can handle separately."
Lee added that Tactical View is kind of like a safety net, so if you feel you're in over your head, you can get the upper hand. When the enemies are swarming and the real-time setup is proving overwhelming, Tactical View gives you the opportunity to assume the role of general and commander. In other words, the developers consider this option to be a "pressure-release valve" and you may find it exceedingly useful from time to time.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is set for November 18, when it will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
