Sony On The Last Guardian: "Please Look Forward To It"
If you've crossed the game off your "most anticipated" list, Sony wants you to think again.
Yes, The Last Guardian was originally announced back in 2009 and since then, we haven't seen much. And yet another year of trade shows has slipped away without a peep from the promising new exclusive. We don't even know if it made the transition from PS3 to PS4, although most assume it did.
That being said, Sony isn't completely mute on the subject. They're still frustratingly vague but in the latest Weekly Famitsu issue (as translated by Kotaku), PlayStation Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida said-
"We continue to work diligently on the game, so please look forward to it."
He added that "development couldn't be better," although he quickly followed this up with the admission that such a statement is a "bit of an exaggeration." At this point, I think we just need to see the damn thing.
Yoshida was also asked what he thought about the PS4's most high-profile games being multiplatform (at least for now). His response:
"I think it's fine to start from there. If the number of PS4 users increases from there and they tell their friends, 'the games look prettier on the PS4,' or 'the loading time's faster,' or 'using the Share function is fun' then the sales for PS4 versions of games will increase and game creators may think 'let's focus on developing for the PS4 from here.'"
Okay, we're down with that. Just give us those exclusives in 2015!
