The Crew Pushed Back Three Weeks
In a year loaded with delays, this one's not so bad.
In fact, it frees up November just a bit. Ubisoft has announced that their anticipated racer, The Crew, has been moved from November 11 to December 2.
The game went through a series of recent beta testing and apparently, that's what prompted the delay. In a statement, the publisher offered this explanation:
"The extra time will allow for a second closed console beta to be held, giving even more players the opportunity to experience the game, which is something the community has been requesting. Like the betas held previously, valuable player feedback and other essential information will be gathered, further enhancing the experience."
The game is currently in a closed beta on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One; this comes after the PC beta, which occurred earlier. Creative director Julian Gerighty said they remain committed to "delivering a revolutionary experience in the driving genre" and while that's a bold claim, the game does have a huge amount of potential. Anyone remember Smuggler's Run? I want another one of those, too.
