Evolution Disables Driveclub Features To Work On Issues
Driveclub is a fun game with lots of potential.
But it's not much fun when it doesn't work.
Many who purchased the new next-gen racing effort from Evolution Studios have reported numerous problems with the online aspect. The good news is that the developer is working "non-stop" to fix these issues, as stated on the game's official Facebook page. Evolution says they just released another server update but they're not done. Unfortunately, they have to disable some features while they work:
"In order to keep building on these numbers, we will be running further updates in the coming days that will affect availability of some of the online game features. Some functions are temporarily unavailable including challenges and social updates, but for those of you that can connect, you will still be able to participate in clubs, leaderboards, and online multiplayer races."
They did clarify that players should still be able to access the Tour mode, custom solo events and car customization when playing offline. It's just too bad that the single-player content isn't quite robust enough, as we noted in our review (linked above). Evolution understands the situation isn't "ideal" but they're trying their best.
I suppose that's all we can ask for.
