Pre-Order Revelations 2 On PS3 Or PS4, Get Bonus Mode

Plan on getting Resident Evil: Revelations 2 for a Sony platform? You should.

As reported by Polygon, those who pre-order the anticipated sequel for the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 3 will receive a free bonus mode.

Producer Michiteru Okabe revealed the information during a panel at the New York City Comic-Con event. The mode in question is called Raid Mode Throwback, which is an updated version of the standard Raid Mode in the first title. Stages will include areas from previous Resident Evil games, and one or two players will have to battle through a variety of nasty foes.

As for when you can pre-order: PS4 pre-orders start on October 14, while PS3 pre-orders will be available later this month. Also, don't forget that Revelations 2 will be released in episodic format; there will be four episodes, all of which can be purchased for $25. After all the digital episodes are out, Capcom will bring a disc-based version of the game to retail, where it will hold a $40 price tag.

I'm afraid that I am done with RE series. Yhe setting and the story was good at the beginning, now it's just... how long can you keep old cow alive? This turns to be "Dynasty" series from 80's. Better for them to focus on new IP.

The episodic format of this game is just so off putting... I know I can wait until later to get it all but its not just that it interrupts the tone of the game. I had the same problem with Siren Blood Curse, while I like the game the atmosphere didn't have time to linger as it was in snippets
