Speakeasy: The 1920s Fighter Where One Punch Ends It
Gotta love the historical artistic style.
As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog, the 1920s-themed fighter Speakeasy is headed to the PlayStation 4 "soon." We're not sure if it's also coming to Xbox One and PC.
Developer SuperSoul describes the game as "incredibly simple to learn, but difficult to master" and it requires that you outwit your opponent. You play as a fighter who's trying to win the Fisticuffs League Champion trophy, but there's a very big catch: In each round, you can only throw one punch, and use one block and one fake. Each round is ten seconds. How's that for a twist on the standard fighting formula?
Different modes will let you use up to three moves per match, but you still only need to land one punch to claim victory. There will be a Tag Team mode as well, and King of the Hill will let up to four players fight at the same time. Sounds like an interesting concept!
