Blacklight: Retribution, Primal Carnage Genesis Set For PS4
A couple more games have been formally announced for the PlayStation 4.
One is Blacklight: Retribution, which we knew had been planned for consoles for some time. After all, Blacklight: Tango Down launched on the PS3 back in October of 2010 (even though it wasn't all that great). Retribution was created by Zombie Studios and is currently a free-to-play title for the PC; it will remain free-to-play for the PS4.
The other new game is Primal Carnage Genesis, which is in development at Lukewarm Media and another self-published title. It will apparently use the new Unreal 4 engine and feature a "story-driven, episodic single-player adventure that takes place in a world where dinosaurs have been brought back to life." Okay, so they're ripping off "Jurassic Park" and Turok but so what? Dinosaurs are always cool and if this is done correctly, it could be an absolute blast.
Software is always necessary for all new hardware, and it seems the PS4 won't be lagging behind in that department. Good to know.
