Volition Cranking On Saints Row 4, Plus A Next-Gen Project?

It seems like everyone is boardin' the next-gen train.

LinkedIn profiles have revealed a fair amount of juicy information in the past year or so, and the latest info comes from Internet bloodhound Superannuation.

First up is the profile page of someone at developer Volition, who is evidently working on three unannounced projects in the hopper for current-generation platforms, plus one on the "mysterious next generation of consoles." Then, for news concerning the current group of systems, there's a profile from another Volition employee, where Saints Row 4 was spotted; since the spotting, that detail has been removed from the profile. But it wouldn't surprise anyone if it were true; Saints Row is a definite moneymaker, and one THQ needs.

At this rate, just about every significant developer on the planet will be working on a next-gen offering of some kind before 2012 is over. Everyone ready for another hardware go-'round?

I'm there for SR4 - hopefully on a PS4.

I got a decent length list of improvements and changes I'd like to see regarding Saints Row though. I'm not 100% happy with their priorities when making SR3.

i hope saints row 4 holds off till next gen.
we have more than enough open world styled games to keep us busy till then!
besides mafia 3, i really want to see mafia 3 before this console generation finishes!
one of the best games this gen!

Loved saints row 3 came pretty close to getting the platinum trophy for it. Just 1 more challenge then I have it. But I've gone to new games and never finished. ^_^

Cant wait to see how much more insane they can make SR4.

I just hope that they don't put Saint's Row on the Call of Duty/Assassin's Creed annualization treadmill. That would be highly unfortunate, but with Enter the Dominatrix coming out soon it's worrying.
