Saints Row IV: Re-Elected Uncensored Lands In Australia
This is what's known as an "oops."
Saints Row IV: Re-Elected was refused classification in Australia, effectively banning it from the region. And yet, an unmodified version of the game has mysteriously appeared on Aussie store shelves.
According to the report, an "incorrectly classified" version of the game in question came out due to a "serious manufacturing issue." As such, the product has been recalled and customers who return the disallowed game will receive a replacement copy with the "correct content." This means stuff like the Alien Anal Probe isn't included, if you're wondering.
By the way, that probe was viewed as follows by the Australian Classification Board: A "weapon designed to penetrate the anus of enemy characters and civilians constitutes a visual depiction of implied sexual violence that is interactive and not justified by context."
And yet, somehow, a few gamers ended up with it. Ain't that a hoot?
