White Night: A Chilling Noir Horror Title Comes To PS4
Another innovative, creative game for the PlayStation Network.
From new developer OSome Studio (created by former Eden Games employees) comes White Night, a unique noir horror game for PlayStation 4, which is set to launch on March 3.
As detailed over at the PlayStation Blog, White Night is set in Boston in the 1930s and it boasts that distinctive black-and-white film noir style. As the creators had experience with Alone in the Dark, they adopted some of those classic horror themes: "mature storytelling, strong characters, compelling environments, and equal respect for tension and terror. White Night is a good old ghost story full of mystery, poetry, alchemy, and suspense."
The designers sought inspiration everywhere, from jazz music from the era in question to black-and-white cinema. Hell, they even rented a mansion in Normandy, where they stayed for a week to "steep ourselves in the setting." Such commitment and dedication should pay off, yes?
