Over 1.2 Million Dive Into Dying Light
If you've enjoyed the open-world zombie fun, you're not alone.
According to the Dying Light Twitter account, over 1.2 million players have signed on to survive or die.
The figure accounts for unique players across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, tallied between January 27 (launch day) and February 2. It's important to remember that physical copies of the game aren't yet on sale in Europe, Asia, Australia and the Middle East, so many more players are likely to join in the coming months. Of course, they can only count you if you've got your console hooked up to the Internet although these days, who doesn't?
Dying Light hasn't fared as well with the critics as many hoped; the game currently holds a 73 average on Metacritic (the Xbox One version is a couple points higher) and actually, we also gave the game a 7.3, calling it the first "Icarus Game" of 2015, in that the developers' ambition was high and the concept was fantastic; it just lacked the necessary execution throughout.
