The Last Guardian Lives, Trademark Back To "Live" Status
Okay, looks like they're still pushing forward.
After it was announced that Sony had let the trademark for The Last Guardian die, many figured this event spelled the end of the lengthy project.
But now, after Sony claimed the trademark issue was accidental, they've petitioned the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to get it back...and they've succeeded. Currently, The Last Guardian's trademark has a shiny new "Live" status, which supposedly means development continues on the game that was originally revealed way back in 2009.
The downside is that it gives us all hope again. And hope is dangerous.
