Hunger Teaser: Why Small And Vulnerable Is So Involving

It's one of the creepiest, most original games we've seen in some time.

Swedish developer Tarsier Studios is working on a "suspense/adventure" game called Hunger and now they've released a teaser trailer.

Players will assume the role of a young girl called Six. She's trapped in an underwater labyrinth that's loaded with monsters, but she's hardly a warrior. In order to survive, she'll have to be clever and smart; there's some "hide-and-seek gameplay," for instance, and Tarsier is saying we see it all from the "Dollhouse Perspective." You might understand that better once you've watched the teaser.

Hunger "aims to capture the thrill and the terror of being small and weak in a world that isn't." It looks like a hugely promising project, even though it's only in the pre-production phase. When complete, the title will release for consoles and PC, but that might be a ways off.

Even so, this looks pretty damn neat-o.

It looks surprisingly good. At times it reminded me of LittleBigPlanet.

That and Limbo looks promising though.

I hope it doesn't leave me as unfulfilled as I felt completing Limbo. Mostly due to the games story trying to be clever rather than having any substance to it.

It should remind you of LBP as Tarsier has worked on that franchise. :)
