Mad Max PS3/360 Scrapped, Still Coming Later This Summer
Usually, when you haven't heard about a game for a while, you can expect some big changes.
The good news is that Mad Max hasn't been canceled. The bad news is that if you don't have a next-gen console or a worthy PC, you won't be able to play it.
As per Game Informer's April cover, we learn that the upcoming effort from Avalanche Studios is only coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC; the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions have been ditched. Furthermore, the game is now slated to launch in early September. Said Warner Bros. to GameSpot:
"To ensure players get the best Mad Max experience possible, Avalanche Studios is focused 100% on developing the game for PS4, Xbox One and PC. This has allowed the studio to maximize the potential of those platforms and stay true to the core vision of Mad Max."
Lastly, the publisher confirmed that anyone who pre-orders the game will receive an additional Magnum Opus car body. It's called The Ripper and it looks pretty dang cool.
