More PS4 Update 2.50 Details Located

As usual, when it doesn't come from an official source, take it all with a grain of salt.

But it's well worth talking about, at any rate.

The upcoming firmware update 2.50 for PlayStation 4 may boast a lot of tasty treats for owners of Sony's latest console. More details have been leaked via Twitter: User "Is A Parrot" claims to have a friend who was in the firmware beta testing group. If true, it means we're getting the oft-rumored Suspend/Resume option, along with more accessibility features, a new data backup option, and more.

The PS4 might end up with a nifty text-to-speech option, and the new data backup functionality should be an appreciated alternative. As for Suspend/Resume:

"Suspend/Resume while watching Netflix. The PS4 will pick up where your watching and not just reboot the entire app. It's really in memory."

Sony hasn't formally announced any of these details, but it's not the first source to talk about a few such options. We'll find out soon enough; update 2.50 should be right around the corner.

The button remapping intrigues me. It would solve a lot of my problems with developers only providing pre sets in a lot of their games. Only a few, like GT, am I able to remap everything, even the flick of the analog sticks.

Would be a shame of the Suspend/Resume feature only worked with apps like Netflix and not game software.

I'm pretty sure that isn't the case, I saw a linked picture of a person resuming play on that Abe's Odyssey remake.

Yes!!! Been wanting custom button mapping since PS3 came out. I have no idea how it works, but it seems like something fairly easy to implement that could help a lot of people. If allowed to carry over to online, it could give you an edge in some games, possibly to the dismay of the game designer. I remember having a conversation about this with Arnold years back.

Nothing of those intresets me more than the option to delete 0 % trophies, which update 2.50 are rumored to include!

I've never been so happy!

Which are kinda sad.
