Project CARS Will Get Free DLC Every Month After Release

Free DLC. Doesn't get much better than that.

Even though Project CARS keeps getting delayed, developer Slightly Mad Studios offered some good news today: The game will get free DLC every month ater its release!

One of the free cars we'll see is the blistering fast Lykan Hypersport, which can hit 62 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds. The top speed is a ridiculous 245mph so be careful how you handle this thing. Said the game's creative director Andy Tudor:

"We are immensely pleased to have this awesome machine in the game and to give fans the chance to get behind the wheel of a truly amazing vehicle. The Lykan Hypersport represents the first of a series of free cars we'll be giving away every month as a thank you to our fans for being so patient for the launch of the game."

Originally slated to launch last November, the game has suffered through a series of delays; Project CARS is now slated for mid-May. We don't have all the details on the DLC release schedule (or how long it will go for) but at least we know free content is in the works.

I have a suspicion that this game is not going to do well in the sales side of things.

The physics, graphics, sound, career, and whatever else can be top notch, but it might not matter without the name recognition of Gran Turismo.

It seems to me that the racing genre isn't as strong as it used to be.

I am more worried about the physics. Hopefully its nothing like the Shift series and more like GT.

I hope they release a demo before launch.
