Assassin's Creed: Chronicles Morphs Into Three Different Games
Ubisoft's 2.5D Assassin's Creed: Chronicles has now become three different games.
As the publisher just recently reported, each title will feature a different setting and time period; the first is Assassin's Creed: Chronicles China, which was previously announced.
The next two will be set in India and Russia respectively and each of the three titles will boast a different protagonist: In the one based in China, you play as Shao Jun, who first appeared in the "Assassin's Creed Embers" animated short film. In India, we'll play as Arbaaz Mir and in Russia, it's Nikolai Orelev, both of whom were seen in the franchise's graphic novels. India's setting is during the Sikh Empire and in Russia, it's the aftermath of the Red October Revolution.
Now, while each storyline is indeed different, they'll all be tied together. The first, Assassin's Creed: Chronicles China, will release on April 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It will retail for only $10 and if you purchased the Assassin's Creed Unity DLC pass, you'll get it for free. No release dates yet for the other two installments.
Let's hope this 2.5D idea is a good one...
