Dragon's Dogma Online Is 1080p, Supports Cross-Platform Play

All you technical enthusiasts like to hear about games that hit the proper benchmarks, right?

Capcom has confirmed that the upcoming PlayStation 4 title, Dragon's Dogma Online, will run at 1080p, and the developers are definitely targeting 60 frames per second (via DualShockers).

Game Director Kent Kinoshita revealed the numbers during a recent event in Tokyo, and we also learned that the corresponding PS3 version will run at 720p/30fps. Of course, even the PS4 version won't manage to hold onto 60fps throughout the entire experience, especially considering the fact that as many as 100 players might be on screen at the same time. Even so, it's nice to have aspirations.

The designers also confirmed that DDO would support cross-platform play across PS4, PS3 and PC. Not bad, right? Dragon's Dogma Online should release in Japan later this year; as for when it'll drop in other regions, that's still TBA.

Capcom, you just doomed what possibly could have been a great franchise before it had time to grow wings and take off! May you rot in hell!

Curious, how does Dragon's Dogma differ from offline and online gameplay?

TESO has been out for a while and it was dead its first month it was almost a total failure.
Console release might give it a second wind now that it is buy to play but IDK a lot of people I have spoken to have simply lost interest now and will simply grab The Witcher 3.

If you didn't pay attention to the PC version. It was HORRIBLY unbalanced, loaded with tons of glitches, very "meh" story having thousands of "chosen ones" sort of ruins the experience. The majority of the main quests are also Solo Only so no doing them with friends or getting help. Certain clans completely controlled game features such as becoming the emperor or gaining vampyrism giving themselves insane amounts of power. The big draw of the Cyrodiil PVP is fun but didn't have much in terms of rewards, I believe I heard the experience was at least increased.

The good however while slightly dated looking, it looks closer to a greatly polished Oblivion than Skyrim, in terms of graphics it is a beautiful looking game as well as having a great musical score. Crafting was fabulous and actually useful throughout the entire. Combat while not exactly like an Elder Scrolls game was pretty good for an MMO.

However the new cash shop is a bit pay to win you can now easily buy mounts which when you first started were enjoyably hard to get and you can buy many necessity items such as potions and repair kits now with simply real cash.

I'll probably grab it when it is down to $30 because it was decently fun.

Cross platform play should be the standard for all non-competitive online games.
