Everybody's Gone To The Rapture Looks Decidedly Haunting

It's one of the prettiest and most mysterious titles on the horizon.

The PlayStation 4 exclusive Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is in development at The Chinese Room (Dear Esther), and the team has delivered some new gameplay footage for the first-person adventure.

You can see the three-minute video below and check out the new preview at GameSpot. This is one very attractive-looking game, despite the depressing and haunting post-apocalyptic setting. Players will assume the role of six characters after the catastrophic fallout and you must explore a variety of locations. The goal: Figure out what the hell happened.

No release date yet but here's hoping it arrives sooner as opposed to later.

I wonder how Biblically accurate this will be concerning the Rapture and the period of time after it.

I am hoping this game is true to my beliefs because I want to play this game.

Dunno why you're getting thumbs down'd.

I don't think this has anything to do with Bible related things. And I mean no offense to your religious beliefs, but not everything associated with the word 'Rapture' has to do with religion.

Would you kindly stop thumbs downing this guy?

"I am hoping this game is true to my beliefs because I want to play this game."

Really? there are thousands of different Christian and Catholic denominations,so if it doesn't fall into yours specifically than you are aren't going to play it?

Not sure if anyone is going to read this, but I will address the posts below mine. Before I do, thank you to those who replied for not throwing insults at me, as many would have in this instance.

- The thumbs down don't bother me, so by all means, disagree with me. Isn't that why this site has the option to do so?

- I take the word "Rapture" very serious, and while it doesn't always mean the event described in the Bible, there are to many coincidences surrounding the game and the events many Christians are looking forward to.

- I play several games that don't line up with my beliefs, but if this tile mocks what I believe and stand for, no, I won't be supporting the developers with my money.

- I honestly pray that this title is an interpretation of the events described in Bible. It would be an excellent resource for those who may be unaware of what the scriptures say.

Everybody's gone to the rapture looks very good and i want it.

Some time ago i wasn't so positive about indie games, but i forgot that indiegames give life to a lot of puzzle and exploration games, and i like these kind of games very much:everybody's gone to the rapture/no man's sky/the vanishing of ethan carter/the talos principle/the witness/Rime and many more.

The only "problem" in 2015 is that many of these games are released in the second half of this year, and there are other games for me in that time period,so i guess i will play them in 2016...the good thing about this is that they will be cheaper a year later.

2015 AND 2016 will have enough good games for me.
