Assassin's Creed Teaser Features Some Intriguing Quotes

Ubisoft will formally unveil this year's new Assassin's Creed entry but before they do, they'd like to tease us a little.

The publisher has updated the franchise's website with the image you see here. Obviously, we've got some clues to figure out...

There's the set of brass knuckles and inscribed on the weapon is the phrase, "Strength Through Loyalty." Unsurprisingly, we see the familiar logo of the Assassins as well. There are other quotes to consider, too: The very British "God Save The Queen" and the Charles Dickens line, "We Forge The Chains We Wear In Life." This comes from "The Cricket on the Hearth," first published in the 1840s.

Lastly, there's a reference to "Rooks," which may or may not have something to do with the bird often found in Northern Europe. There are plenty of things to consider but really, all I care about is that Ubisoft doesn't muff up the game's structure and frustrating presentation, as they did with Unity. They fixed that game, though, so they obviously knew they screwed up.

Hmm.. I'm normally a hater for all things Victorian era. But since it's Assassin's Creed, I will overlook that fact.

I loves me some AC! =)

Victorian era is my time travel dream. I even have a pair of antique smoked glasses from those good old days.

Victorian London? Colour me excited!

Just don't make it a necessity to play it alongside a crappy app that 99% of the user base will avoid like a plague k?

Unity certainly wasn't a bad game but it's a great example of how many, MANY flaws and poor design choices can ultimately tear down even the most ambitious of projects.

The appropriate title should be "Beating a dead horse," because at this point, that's all what this series is. It really is nothing more than a cash cow.
