Bungie Raises $400,000 For Nepal Relief In Just One Week

If you bought the t-shirt you see here, you really weren't the only one.

And the people of Nepal thank you. Developer Bungie produced this $25 t-shirt so all proceeds could go to the Direct Relief charity, which is a group that provides medical assistance to those affected by natural disasters. The Nepal quake registered 7.8 and over 7,000 people lost their lives.

That t-shirt has done good things, as the developer has announced during its Weekly Update. Bungie has now raised over $400,000 in just one week, and the campaign will continue for at least another week. Furthermore, now through May 13, the Bungie Foundation will match an additional $15 for every shirt sold, up to $50,000. That's great to hear, especially when so many lost so much.

And all we have to do is pick up a t-shirt to help out. It's a cool shirt, too.

Instead of a t-shirt, they should maybe offer the next DLC.

Charge $25 for it, and donate the proceeds to charity. It's for a good cause, and buyers will feel like their money was put to good use and are rewarded for it. Would make Bungie look awesome, and help promote their game at the same time.
And if you already have the next DLC bought, then just give the code to your friends/family to use.
Either way, it was for a good cause!

Just an idea...

Unless it's a huge company though.

Good to see Bungie and their fans change some lives. God Bless everyone who contributed to this fund raiser.
