Tony Hawk 5 On PS3, 360 Won't Support "Seamless Multiplayer"

There are more and more reasons to upgrade to the new consoles.

As many expected, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the recently revealed Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 won't support online multiplayer. Publisher Activision just confirmed this with VideoGamer.

The versions for the older systems are cheaper, though, coming in at $40 each, while the PS4 and Xbox One iterations will retail at the standard $60. The latter versions let players jump in and out of online sessions with friends and strangers. We'll get competitive and cooperative modes and players will be able to level up their characters for use online or offline.

This "seamless online" experience will be exclusive to current-gen platforms, so if you're a big Tony Hawk fan, you know what you have to do.

It lets players (like your friends) jump in and out of your game sessions as they wish, regardless if you are doing a mission/campaign or whatever. Like Borderlands, if you know those games.

$40 seems right, I think I remember every iteration of the game costing that price. Dang, I'm missing those crazy combo days.
