Watch The Witcher 3's World Map Unfold, End To End

Yeah. That's a big map.

The hugely anticipated role-playing title from CD Projekt Red, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is a gigantic game. But you don't really understand the sheer scope of it until you see the map.

This new 35-minute gameplay video introduces you to that scope, as it shows the massive map from end to end. Whether you travel on foot, on horse, or by boat, this is one gargantuan tract of land to explore, and don't forget that there's an archipelago destination that is only accessible by using the boat. There's just so much to see and do; it might take you the rest of your natural life to take it all in.

Or, you could just immerse yourself for a few months. The game in question is already receiving very high review scores, and it'll finally be on store shelves on Tuesday, May 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

That looks phenomenal. My only complaint with this sure-fire-hit is you can't create your own character and are instead stuck with the default meat head character the game gives you. This slight irritant aside, this game can't arrive in my mitts soon enough. Exploring that map is going to be a mighty experience in itself.

@ Kevin5-To each his own.
I just finished listening to the third audio book of the Witcher books and I can't wait to play as Geralt.
I totally agree with FAREEZ. Geralt is not a meat head he's a badass.
To me, Geralt is like Solid Snake and Roland Deschain (Gunslinger from the Dark Tower Books) combined in a medieval fantasy world.

"default meat head" I love it, haha. That's how I feel. Even if he's a badass, I'd prefer my own. The tradeoff is you get a more specific story with the meat head.

I agree I strongly feel that an open world game that all about freedom and choices should allow you to create your own character. That said the game looks outstanding and I can't wait to jump into the world.

You guys don't know Geralt. You don't know his story. You don't know his life. Get to know him.

Very impressive. If I recall correctly, it takes about 45 minutes to run the furthest points of the map in 'Grand Theft Auto V', and the majority of this video showed Geralt either on horseback or a boat. So it should take a good long while to walk the length of the map.
