Until Dawn Release Date, Cast Update, And New Trailer

All sorts of important news for those anticipating the PlayStation 4 teen horror adventure, Until Dawn.

Developer Supermassive Games wasn't afraid to let the information fly over at the PlayStation Blog: We get the release date, a new trailer, and a cast update.

Until Dawn will launch in North America on August 25 and a day later in PAL territories (August 28 in the UK and Ireland). They also announced that the cast got another dose of star power, as well-known actor Peter Stormare ("Fargo," "The Big Lebowski," "Armageddon") has joined the team. Said Supermassive producer Pete Samuels:

"He gave some incredibly powerful performances in the motion capture studio and you can tell from the end result in the game that he had some fun with the character."

And lastly, we get a new trailer, which features Stormare's character, along with other actors like Hayden Panettiere ("Heroes," "A Bug's Life") and Rami Malek ("Need for Speed," "Night at the Museum." By pre-ordering the game, you'll earn a special scene where the main characters - Matt and Emily - are alone on the mountain and...well, everything goes to hell.

This game has a ton of potential; can't wait to try it!

I freaking love the concept behind this game. Some good ol fashioned teenage slasher non sense mixed in with the choice making system for over 20 endings. See, this is the kind of game my girlfriend and I can get into together.

I always wanted a teen slasher where I could play as Jason Voorhees, killing the sex-crazed boozers one by one.

I want this game now, in the spirit of 80s horror.

Heyden Panet-whatever is the hotness.

Interested as Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls were excellent but will wait for reviews to see how it turns out.
