Sony Might Close Its E3 Conference With Last Guardian Update
Perhaps it's the epitome of "vaporware" (still second to Duke Nukem Forever), of course).
But there might be evidence that Sony hasn't ditched The Last Guardian.
The first piece of evidence comes from the rumor that Sony has brought in another interal team to assist in the completion of the project. We keep hearing the words "completion" and "finish" concerning this rumor, and it stands to reason that at this point, if it does exist, the game should be far enough long to warrant such talk.
The second piece of evidence comes from an anonymous tipster PSXE has dealt with before; he tells me Sony wanted to show off Guardian at last year's E3 and even had it scheduled. Then something went awry - as has so often happened with the development - and it didn't happen. However, he seems to think it could happen this year and there are rumblings of Sony saving it for the end of their conference. "It could be the biggest PS4 exclusive they announce this year," he claims.
This guy has been right before but bear in mind that he hasn't been in the industry for a little while. He's moved on to doing stuff for film, so his sources may not be accurate. Still, it's nice to consider the possibility, isn't it?
