Astebreed Coming To PS4 With Visual And Gameplay Upgrades
It's a shooter with attitude - and a bunch of different perspectives - so old-school arcade fans should pay attention.
Astebreed was originally released on PC; now, as announced over at the PlayStation Blog, it's coming to PlayStation 4 on June 25. The retail cost will be $19.99.
This is the shooter with a cinematic twist: the in-game camera seamlessly swoops around you, which changes the game from horizontal to vertical side-scrolling, and these aren't the only two perspectives you'll see. As for the mech you control, you can either fire lasers straight ahead or lock on to enemies and command your Lucis nodes to close in and deal more damage. You also have a handy sword that's wicked fast and at close range, enemies will die quickly.
This version should be the definitive version, as it will run at the maximum 1080p/60fps plateau and with no screen tearing. Plus, we'll get emissive lighting and improved texture compression, along with a bunch of new mech upgrades and a new "Arrange Mode."
If you'll always be a fan of the fast-paced space shooter, this is right up your alley.
