Oops, Driveclub PS Plus Edition Goes Live A Little Too Early
We've been waiting for a long time but thankfully, the PlayStation Plus version of Driveclub is ready.
The PlayStation Store update on Tuesday included the long-awaited free version of the game, but the launch was premature. Developer Evolution Studios quickly said on Twitter:
Store update today with the DRIVECLUB PS+ Edition was premature. The servers aren't ready yet, so it's been removed while we get them ready.— DRIVECLUB (@DRIVECLUB) June 23, 2015
The Plus edition offers a blend of single-player and multiplayer content, plus every major feature including online multiplayer matches and offline solo racing. We also get Tour Events, Photo Mode, customization and replays. It will include all 13 of India's tracks, 15 cars and 27 Trophies (as well as the Platinum). That's not bad for a free version!
You do need a Plus subscription, of course. And upgrading to the full version will get you over 40 more cars and 5 other locations. But at least you get to test it out! Here's hoping it'll be ready very soon.
