Oh it gets worse. I had to move the PS4 to the router room of the house. It's less than two meters and still giving me the 10 too 15 at start estimate. That's a while, but on the other hand 35min for 7.5 gb sounds ridiculously fast.

I wasn't paying attention. Did Google fiber become a real thing yet?

There's a reason consoles now are designed to make games playable even when they are getting updated, that's how this gen now gonna be, full of big patches/updates taking lot of space on the HD, imo one of the reasons Microsoft backwards compatibility format of downloading all the games on the HD was a bad choice.

At one point they HAVE to start a disc replacement program, you send your copy in they send you an updated copy. That way when your HDD gets filled to the point where you need to delete games in order to install others, you don't have to install a game with useless chunks of data only to be replaced by up to 1/5 with updates.

Now I know what you're saying, "backup". Lemme just ask you this. WF good does that disc do you if you're still going to populate yet another HDD with part of the same data?

no. not entirely. the patch actually degrades PS4 performance. The Digital Foundry has a full detail about it.
Have fun with 20-25fps gaming. This game has been a bug riddled mess forever.
