Mad Max Stronghold Trailer Highlights Cast Of Colorful Characters

We're less than a month away from Mad Max and Warner Bros. is celebrating with a new action-packed trailer.

The new video, entitled "Stronghold," gives us a peek at the game's fortified outposts that are scattered around the wasteland. There, we'll meet all manner of bizarre and colorful characters.

As it said in the press release:

"In a world where Max faces both his internal and external enemies, these strongholds hold the pieces essential to the puzzle he tries to solve. Max will need to make some uneasy alliances as he prepares to take on merciless Wasteland tyrant, Scrotus."

If you're wondering, the game has no relation to the recently released "Mad Max: Fury Road" movie. This is an entirely separate adventure and it'll be rarin' to go on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 1. Yeah, it's the same release day as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain but you can squeeze in both, right?

People may think I'm crazy, but I'm getting Mad Max with no intention of playing the Phantom Pain in the immediate future.
Sure MGS looks like it will have a well built open world, but I'm just not into the series' story or characters.

It's quite possible Mad Max won't be amazing, but I'm hoping for a sleeper hit. It would be nice to know a few more details before launch, like roughly how long the story is, and the extent of side missions.

'The Phantom Pain' is absolutely going to be commanding most of my spare time until I've done almost everything I can with it. But I do love the Mad Max universe, and the game looks surprisingly good, so I intend this to be the next game I play.
