EA Puts Battlefront's Aerial Combat On Display At Gamescom
I remember playing Warhawk and always wanting to be in the air. I was a pilot, first and foremost.
Perhaps you'll feel the same way in the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront, especially after seeing new gameplay of aerial battles.
Publisher Electronic Arts showed off a new trailer at Gamescom 2015 today and the new 20-player Fighter Squadron Mode was at the forefront. The battle took place over Sullust, a fittingly rocky planet with magma everywhere (obviously not for ground forces). We see X-Wings, TIE Fighters, A-Wings and TIE Interceptors, and we were offered third-person and in-cockpit views for many. In addition to 20 human players, 20 AI fighters can participate as well.
And if you're wondering, yes, the Millennium Falcon with Han Solo at the helm also joins the fight. You gotta check it out:
