Mighty No. 9 Delayed Due To Online Bugs, No Date Set
We'd heard rumors and now, unfortunately, those rumors have been confirmed.
Developer Comcept has announced that its successfully-funded Kickstarter project, Mighty No. 9, has been delayed.
The update at the Kickstarter page says that while the core content for the game is done and "in a complete state," there are still some "bugs and issues pertaining to the online features." Hence, they made the decision to fix these problems before launching the title, which is probably a good idea. But once again, I can't help but notice that if it weren't for online features, the game would be ready to go...those online problems get in the way a lot.
Anyway, at least Comcept is "working at full capacity" to resolve these issiues. Unfortunately, they haven't decided on a new release date, and they're going to take another platform survey:
"Considering the fact that the game's release has been delayed, we are planning to open another platform survey once a final release date has been settled upon."
Mighty No. 9 was originally scheduled to launch on September 15; then we heard about the physical versions being delayed. Obviously, the delay pertains to all versions.
