MGSV Frame Rate, Resolution Confirmed
We all know Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will look amazing. For further proof, check out the recent Gamescom 2015 trailer.
However, the technically-minded still want to know the specs, which we finally have: As confirmed at the game's official website, MGSV will sport the same resolution and frame rate across consoles. Well, mostly.
Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will display in 720p and 30 frames per second, while the PS4 version will hit 1080p and 60 frames per second, and the Xbox One iteration will manage 60 fps and 900p, with a "final" resolution of 1080p. It appears we're looking at an upscaled number here but that's all right; the majority of gamers won't be able to tell the difference. Full 1080p appears to be impossible (or at best, elusive) for Xbox One games so far this generation.
All that's left now is to play it. MGSV is only three weeks away; it's set to arrive on September 1.
