FFXV Gets A Global Simultaneous Launch
During Gamescom, Square Enix boss and Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata announced that the long-awaited RPG would definitely release in 2016.
And now, he's done us one better.
According to GameSpot, not only will it release next year, but FFXV will also enjoy a worldwide simultaneous release. It will be the first title within the main franchise structure to be released at the same time across all regions. Said Tabata:
"This may be something that we are little bit embarrassed to talk about, but really, this is the first time that we've done a packaged, standalone Final Fantasy game with a simultaneous global launch, so we didn't have the setup to deal with that, really. The first thing we had to do was rearrange our internal structure to create something that could do that. That was the first important work on the project."
Now we just need an official date. How do you think Final Fantasy fans will respond when the game is finally on store shelves?
