Rocksteady Shows Off 1989 Batmobile For Arkham Knight DLC

As a kid, I remember first seeing the Batmobile in the 1989 film starring Michael Keaton. I believe my exact response was: "well that's the coolest car ever."

And now it's coming to the recently released Batman: Arkham Knight.

Below, you will find the first gameplay footage for the 1989 Batmobile, which will be included in next week's downloadable content. As you can see, this new model is based on the old Tim Burton vision; it features better handling and Rocksteady says they've added tracks specifically designed for it. The new DLC will also boast a Robin AR challenge map and the Bat-Family Skins Pack.

Don't forget that Season Pass subscribers get this content first, while everyone else has to wait a week (and of course, pay). Interestingly, while the first DLC - A Matter of Family with Batgirl - was developed externally by Batman: Arkham Origins studio WB Games Montreal, the latest DLC was created in-house at Rocksteady.

Wait...wait...wait...let me you're telling me I get to "race" around in a "new" batmobile in a non-racing game, change the appearance of Gotham's finest into something more family appropriate, and challenge maps for everyone's least favorite Robin. Colored me "blown away". Some much "value" on display!!! Haha

Jokes aside, these are cool freebies, but sadly you must pay for this content. I loved the hell out of AK, but come on. I hope the next single player dlc is content packed and priced accordingly.
