FlatOut 4: Total Insanity Confirmed, Intent On Fan Interaction

The anticipated new FlatOut installment now has a full official title.

After being revealed for the first time last week, publisher Strategy First has now formally announced FlatOut 4: Total Insanity, in development at Kylotonn Entertainment and Tiny Rebel Games (Doctor Who: Legacy).

Dubbed "the most ambitious title in the history of the franchise," the aptly named Total Insanity wants to remain faithful to the series, but also wants to scale new heights in "outrageousness, richness of environment and design, and community involvement" (so said Tiny Rebel creative director Lee Cummings). Furthermore, the development of the project will give fans "an unsurpassed degree of visibility" in regards to the design process.

Did you know you can already have a direct impact on the project? Visit the game's website to vote for which track you'd like to see featured in the game. And you can bet on plenty of updates and perhaps even a beta.

FlatOut 4: Total Insanity is slated to launch sometime next year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Looking forward to this. I remember playing flat out on the PC a few years back...the physics of when you made alterations to the car were all very noticeable.

Actually made you want to get the better parts for your car.
