Looks Like Dark Souls III Is Launching In Japan On March 24
If you're done with Bloodborne, you're already champing at the bit for another Dark Souls, huh?
Well, we know Dark Souls III is coming and while we still don't have any North American or European dates, it appears we have the Japanese release date.
According to 4Gamer.net, the new sequel, in development at noted developer From Software, will hit store shelves in Japan on March 24, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There was no date for the PC version, though. Interestingly, they say there's a "network test" - presumably a beta - that will run for three days starting on October 16. Again, though, this is only for Japan.
Back in August, series director Hidetaka Miyazaki said Dark Souls III would represent a "turning point in the franchise" and the new entry would have to "pave the way for something new." All we know right now is that it's scheduled to launch early next year so maybe March 24 is a worldwide date...? One can hope.
