Treyarch Shows How You Helped Improve Black Ops III

Although many gamers often lose sight of the fact, a beta test is often vital. Developers can fix a lot of problems before a game launches and in this age of online multiplayer, when problems are so prevalent out of the gate, betas are even more critical.

And Treyarch is certainly very thankful for the recent Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta.

In a new PlayStation Blog post, design director David Vonderhaar highlighted ten changes that you helped bring about with your participation in the beta. These are major alterations, too; for example, Treyarch has changed the Black Hat hacking mechanic. Now it takes longer to steal a scorestreak, and the game will do a better job of alerting players when this is happening.

They've also seriously limited the "flinching" feature that actually stacked in the beta. It hasn't been removed entirely but it will now "be within tighter constraints to keep you closer to your aim." Treyarch has further adjusted the Rejack ability and impact feedback (so you know you're actually hitting enemies), and now the kill cam offers more info, such as the weapons and equipment the killer used.

And of course, we're willing to bet that the lengthy list you see through the link above doesn't consist of every change and tweak. By the way, did you know that the Black Ops III beta was the biggest ever on PS4?

The blockbuster in question is set to launch on November 6 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Don't forget that the last-gen versions will not ship with a single-player campaign.

Smart move not including single player for older generation. This will increase overall sales for the game and since most gamers that buy this franchise buy it for the multi-player component it's going to be a win-win situation for Activision and those who buy the game.

but then do you think those last gen players will complain like destiny players that they didnt get a full game? therefore they deserve a price cut?

I agree. I don't want to pay full price for multiplayer only.

Then don't buy it. Simple. Best way to deliver your message.

I guess they did reduce the price. They gave it a $10 cut. That's something I suppose. Personally, they shoulda priced it at $40 to begin with if you ask me.
