New Multiplayer Map And Specialist For Black Ops III
Time to check out a new multiplayer map and character class for the rapidly approaching Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
As revealed during a new weekly video series focusing on the upcoming blockbuster, the fresh map is called Redwood. The new Specialist is called Firebreak; it's the ninth character class confirmed so far.
The 36-minute video below includes info directly from design director David Vonderhaar and gives you sneak peeks at Redwood and Firebreak. Unsurprisingly, the former is set in the great Redwood Forest on the west coast; it was actually the last map Treyarch created for the game. That's why it should be pretty cool, as they were able to implement everything they'd learned from developing the other maps.
Firebreak is very much what it sounds like: A character that uses fire powers. He has a flamethrower (called a Purifier) and an ability called Heat Wave, which incapacitates enemies with a tremendous blast of heat. Sounds like a fun character to use, yes?
Call of Duty: Black Ops III releases on November 6 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. As a reminder, the last-gen versions don't come with a single-player campaign.
