PS4 #1 Pre-Order Game Item At Amazon, GameStop Resupplies
After Sony and Microsoft priced their new game consoles at E3 this week, retailers immediately began taking pre-orders.
And unsurprisingly, based on what everyone has seen, the PlayStation 4 is #1 at Amazon, while the Xbox One is #2. We wish we had actual numbers, though.
As for GameStop, several sources said their website reported that PS4 pre-orders were sold out within the first few hours, after which the retailer was forced to restock. Several local stores around here have said they can't take any more pre-orders for a little while, while all of those stores said they still had Xbox One pre-orders available. I always find it interesting that seconds after they say, "no, sorry, no PS4 pre-orders left," they immediately launch into the, "oh, but you can pre-order the Xbox One!" spiel.
Yeah, well, we all know there's a reason why anything Microsoft is more prominently featured in any GameStop we walk into, right? I once had a GameStop register biscuit tell me Uncharted was coming to Xbox and it would "look better" when it did, too. ...can't believe he said it with a straight face. I was actually waiting for him to laugh.
