Need For Speed Goes Gold, Definitely Set For November 3

If you can't wait to hit the streets and start racing, you'll be happy to hear this:

Developer Ghost Games has confirmed via Twitter that the upcoming Need for Speed reboot has officially gone gold.

This means the anticipated reboot will zip onto store shelves on November 3 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but the PC version still won't be ready until next year. Publisher Electronic Arts has often called this project a "full reboot" and Ghost Games has also said they don't plan to issue any paid DLC or microtransactions. Rather, consumers can expect a series of "free content updates" as time goes on.

Much has been made about the fact that this title requires an online connection but these days, that matters a lot less to a lot of people. Oh, and if you want a peek at the full list of Trophies/Achievements, go ahead and check it out. Gonna go for the Platinum?

Well, as one who knows what it's been to be without internet for close to 1 & a 1/2 years now, I think it sucks that they're FORCING you to be online for any game

And I don't think McDonalds would've allowed me to suck up their free Wi-Fi(like I've been doing while internet-less for the whole duration of any NFS game......
......well, maybe if I promised to buy a space ship Happy Meal

The online tule isn't a super bad idea, BUT if my wifi chooses to mess up....I find it strange that I can't easily access the core game to play alone. Very restrictive and intrusive. Seriously, I'm confused as to why this is mandatory. And there reasoning nrhind this decision makes no sense either.

This constant online crap is annoying. Did they not watch what happened against the start of the xbone release??

People categorically do not like to be forced to play online and I for one will not stand by it.

Sorry ghost games, but drop the forced connect and you'll get much more sales.
