Someone Should Ask Kojima If He Knows Anything About The PS4
See Full ImageObviously, we're not going to get anything specific out of Sony right now. And we might not get any intricate details from a designer, either.
But if you really think about it, Hideo Kojima might be the one person to ask about the PlayStation 4. Currently, he has multiple projects circulating and it's more than feasible that at least one is in development for Sony's next machine. It could be that mysterious Project Ogre game, or it might even be Metal Gear Solid 5. We know very little about these projects, which sort of implies that they're a long ways off...and if they're that far off, wouldn't it be safe to assume that the PS4 is included in the studio's future plans?
Plus, you've got Kojima's long and loyal history with the PlayStation brand. While his games have indeed ended up on Microsoft's platform, any title Kojima is directly involved with is originally made with only PlayStation in mind. If you recall, Revengeance is in Platinum's court now and even when it wasn't, Kojima had passed off control of that multiplatform project to his team. And if there's one guy who is more than likely on board with Sony's next console - even before that console has been officially announced - it's Kojima. The other possibility might be Polyphony Digital boss and Gran Turismo guru Kazunori Yamauchi.
Everyone is asking Kojima about his current work, but nobody seems to be asking if any of it will arrive in the next generation. And of course, he may not answer if asked, but someone should bring it up.

To me, it's some of the developers that are outdated...and/or too lazy to learn how to optimize for the PS3.

I remember back in the early days of PS3 where you would read devs saying the same broken record lines "PS3 hardware is too difficult to work on"
You're a dev, grow some balls & find time to learn about the guts of the system within. I hear the rewards are wonderful, just ask Naughty Dog.

But hold on, I think I realized something! Might there be something more to this, might they be doing it... On purpose?
I mean, think about it! SEVEN years after launch and they still whine. Whine whine whine. Nobody can be THAT lazy? There has to be something more to this.
We all know the press is biased against Sony. That's proven time and again. But isn't it quite obviously the developers too?
They are doing this to give Sony a bad name! After all, it is a Japanese brand, this is cultural imperialism at its worst!
But who is behind this? Omg omg omg I got it: Are they being paid by Microsoft to stay outdated? It's quite likely, when we think about it! Isn't it? Microsoft and their truckloads of money. We know they don't use it on their own exclusives, so they gotta be doing SOMETHING with the cash?
So, let's rally! Let's show'em! Who are with me? I say we boycott their games until they grow some balls. That'll teach them!

By the way. I'll give anybody here my PS3 version of Fallout 3 GOTY. First come first serve. The first person who replies and states they want it and it's yours. The only think I would advise is keeping your PS3 close to you for those hardresets. You are going to be performing them frequently my friend.
